Grant Martin, named GMA’s General Manager of the Year
– 23rd October 2018
The golf Industry’s night of nights saw 23 outstanding individuals and organisations honoured at the inaugural NSW Golf Industry awards. This year, Twin Creeks is proud to announce that our CEO Grant Martin was honoured with the award for General Manager of the Year! In a climate filled with uncertainty and declining participating in golf membership, Grant has helped Twin Creeks rise above these challenges and lead change, seeing Twin Creeks quickly becoming the Number 1. Golf Facility in Western Sydney. Among this list of achievements includes developing the functions and events operation to now host over 400 events per year. Successfully negotiating the contract for the NSW Open Golf Championship, securing a 3+3year contract to host the event. Achieving positive growth in membership along with the introduction of the non-golfing country club membership, Business Club and Winemakers Club.
In addition to the club focused initiatives, Grants broader vision in leading this change will see the unveiling of the much anticipated Master Plan, driving the future of Twin Creeks. The now DA approved Resort Project will add an exciting dimension to this outstanding facility, with the $125 million development expected to be the first 5 star resort in the Sydney metropolitan area. Further to this will be Golf Course Upgrades, the development of a Winery & Villa Complex and the introduction of the Center of Excellence, expected to become Western Sydney’s premier golfing venue.
Behind the scenes and sharing Grants vision and passion for Twin Creeks, is a team of dedicated and hardworking professionals. Grant Martin has been instrumental in leading the team to delivering a facility that we can all be proud of. Grants list of achievements has only just scratched the surface of what our valued members, residents, staff and stakeholders can expect for the future. We as a club are proud of this achievement and look forward to the next exciting chapter of Twin Creeks.
