2016 Srixon Men’s Major Metropolitan Pennant Finals
The finals for the 2016 Srixon Men’s Major Metropolitan Pennant Competition with a host of golf clubs all vying for the title of ‘2016 Major Metropolitan Pennant Winners’ in their respective divisions is done & dusted.
DIVISION 3 final saw Twin Creeks vs Cromer at Terry Hills with Twin Creeks winning the Pennant.
This year has seen 78 metropolitan clubs participate with six round contests played followed by Semi-Final and Relegation matches. These contests were to determine the competing clubs for the finals matches on Sunday the 3rd of April and those clubs who will either be moving up or down a division in the 2
017 season.
In Division 3 it has turned out to be a battle of East Vs the west with Twin Creeks versing Cromer in the final. Twin Creeks has achieved its first pennant with a convincing win over Cromer 5 matches to two.
Twin Creeks have progressed back to division two and the players are looking forward to the challenge of next year.
The players to represent Twin Creeks this year were as follows; John Glasheen, Paul Todd, Tyrone Emtage, Nicholas Cochrane, Kris Hellier, Chris Johnson, Greg Corben, Denis Dale, Glenn Johnson, Michael Barton, James Cayley, Mat Hall-Chesire & Michael Brislane.
